An official memo from the head of Factory No.3 to the director of TEK (the Technical-Operational Column) of Industry No.2 of the UkhtPechLag, Antonov, dated 26.03.1935, concerning the issuing of food to prisoners as a reward for overtime work. It includes a list of eight prisoners, and also a list of foodstuffs allowed to be issued. The document is kept in the Museum of the History of Vodnyi. It was transferred from the archive of the “Progress” Electro-ceramic factory in Ukhta, the successor to the Radium Industry. (Photo 2007).

Description of exhibitPaper, ink, manuscript, signature – autograph, a single-sheet document with a reverse side, on a sheet of lined paper with a reverse side, written in purple ink. The address section reads: “Nachal’niku T.E.K t. Antonovu” [“To the director of the TEK (Technical-Operational Column), Comrade Antonov”]. A list of prisoners is set out in two columns, each name numbered. First names and patronymics are added above the row of names. The document is signed by the head of Factory No.3, his signature is illegible. On the back of the page in the top part there is a list of foodstuffs and their quantity, written in green pencil. The signature is illegible; below that is a resolution, written in ordinary pencil, concerning the issuing on the 22.03.1935 of an instruction by Myagkov about the distribution of foodstuffs from the food stall. The signature is illegible.
 
State of preservationThe edges of the paper have been cut unevenly and there are traces of stitching along the left margin.
 
Detailed annotationAn official memo from the head of Factory No.3 (name illegible) to the director of the TEK (the Technical-Operational Column) of Industry No.2, Antonov, dated 26.03. 1935, about the bonus issuing of foodstuffs from the stall to prisoners in return for overtime worked (the transport of vats). There is a list of eight prisoners: E.D. Goriunov, V.E. Mokrousov, V.N. Borovkov, A.I. Sarychev, V. Lelekov, Pichulis, G., Khikmatulin, Churilov. On the reverse side of the document is a list of foodstuffs (bread, herring, sweets, butter) permitted for issue to each person, including the quantity and also an instruction dated 22.03.1935 to Myagkov (position not stated) about the issuing of these foodstuffs. The document was transferred to the Museum from archive of the “Progress” Factory, the successor to the Radium Industry.
