Detailed annotationTypewriter “Erika” . 1970s - 1980s. It belonged to the priest Sigitas Tamkevičius and was used for the preparation and duplicating of editions of “The Chronicle of the Lithuanian Catholic Church”. The typewriter was adapted for the rapid changing of the script mechanism (in order to make it more difficult for the state security organs to establish a link between the typewriter and texts written on it, should they confiscate the typewriter during a search). After the arrest of S. Tamkevičius in 1983, the typewriter was used by the Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Eucharist, Bernadeta Mališkaitė, Onute Šarakauskaitė and Virginia
Kavaliauskaitė, for producing “The Chronicle of the Lithuanian Catholic Church”.
