Описание
Self-made map case made from a canvas-type cloth, with a flap that fastens the bag. The seams are done partly by machine, partly by hand. Inside the map case is a pocket of the same width as the bag but shallower by 6cm. At the front of the bag, under the flap, is a large (16.5cm x 16.5cm) patch pocket. The flap and the exterior walls of the bag are reinforced with cardboard. The map case is fastened with a strap and a factory-made buckle. The strap and the buckle appear to have been added later by hand-stitching in black thread. At the top of the back of the bag are two metal rings (diameter 2cm), attached with strips of cloth folded double. It would seem that a handle was intended to be attached to them. The handle itself, however, is missing.
