Men's shirt

Length – 80cm Shoulder width – 58cm Sleeve length – 47cm Sleeve width – 20.5 and 11cm

Men's shirt of white cotton cloth. The cut is straight, the shirt is made out of one piece of fabric with 'drop sleeves' and a stand-up round collar. There is a vertical opening on the chest with embroidery; this fastens with three buttons. The buttons are metal, 1cm in diameter and covered with cloth. The sleeves are straight and long, and are expanded with additional material; at the hand they are drawn into a small cuff. Under the sleeves there are small, square gussets. On the hem at the sides there are small slits. The panel on the chest, the collar and cuffs are decorated with "satin-stitch" embroidery, a geometrical pattern of primary red and black.

Soiled, there are rust stains, the cuff of the left sleeve is frayed.

Given by the son of Aleksei Mikhailovich Shchastnyi- a captain of the first rank, the commander of the naval forces on the Baltic sea. According to the owner's testimony, his father wore this shirt to his trials and at his last meeting with his wife, when he gave it to his son. A.M. Shchastnyi was executed by shooting by order of the Revolutionary tribunal during the night of the 22nd June 1918 in Moscow.
