In May 2003 the permanent exhibition ‘History without Torn-Out Pages’ opened its doors. On display are originals and copies of photos, documents from various archives, books, paintings by exile artists, items of everyday life, biographical material, including such illustrious personalities as Ariadna Efron and the bishop of Luk (Voino-Yasenecki). Part of the exhibition is dedicated to a model and photographs of the ‘Pantheon of Stalin’, which was situated in the settlement Kureiko on the river Yenisei from the 1930s to the 1950s.
The collection on the history of political repression in the District, the history of the Gulag and political exiles during the Soviet era since the 1920s (archive: A.F. Voino-Yasenecki in Turukhansk,1924-1925), and the history of Russian Germans until the late 1940s (including material related to A.S. Efron) has been growing since the early 1990s.
It consists of personal belongings, documents, original photos (about 100 pieces) and more than 200 copies.
Guided tours are available. The Museum is planning a travelling exhibition for the schools and clubs of the district.
